The Outcomes

EvaluationYou prepared the groundwork, built a solid infrastructure, and constructed a quality mentoring program using all the essential components. Now it's time to step back and take a look at what you have created. Is the outcome what you expected? Does your program have the results you intended? Next, you need to inspect your work.

Your program is accountable to its mentees, volunteers, staff, donors, funders and others for the results that it produces. Research has already shown that the mentoring concept works. But does your mentoring program work? Your program must evaluate its impact and strive for constant improvement in order to fulfill its accountability.

To ensure your mentoring program produces the intended results, you need to understand:
