The Building Blocks of Quality Mentoring Programs Are you starting a new mentoring program and wanting to ensure it meets current practice standards? Or are you running an existing mentoring program and aiming to offer the best quality services possible? If so, welcome to The Building Blocks of Quality Mentoring Programs!
Take this course at your own pace. If you wish, you can explore only those areas of greatest interest to you. But to get the most out of this course, we recommend that you check out all the topics and activities. It will take you about one and a half to two hours to cover all the subjects and exercises. Are you ready to construct a quality mentoring program? The first step in our building process is to have a look at the Mentoring Groundwork. The material in this course is primarily geared towards formal mentoring programs for children and youth. Some information may be equally applicable to mentoring programs that serve adults, such as corporate mentoring and family mentoring programs, but it is not within the scope of this module to address issues specific to such programs. This course is also not intended to provide casework or management training, but rather to provide an awareness of the broader structures and practices that are required for a quality program. | next >> |
