MENTOR Canada teamed up with RBC’s Next Gen employees to host a Power of Mentoring virtual event with youth ages 18+ on November 19 from 1:00-2:30pm EST. The 90-minute virtual experience included both large group skill-building activities and two rounds of facilitated small group career mentoring discussions leveraging Zoom’s virtual breakout rooms. Participating young leaders had the opportunity to connect with at least two career mentors from RBC representing diverse functions and geographies. MENTOR Canada provided all career mentors and young leaders participating a conversation guide to support career mentoring discussions along with a pre-event guide with tips to consider in advance. Here is an overview of the event agenda consisted of:

• Welcome Remarks (10 mins)
• Skill Building Activity (15 mins)
• Round 1 & 2 – Career Mentoring (20-25 mins per round)
• Debrief and Resource Sharing (15 mins)
